Two projects at the same terminal: a low-code app to speed up truck registration, and a study asking which carbon-accounting method to trust.

Overview

Two related projects at Combi Terminal Twente. The first focused on business process management: modelling the truck pre-registration and registration process, then building a working low-code web app in Mendix and replicating it in Microsoft OutSystems.

That work was supported by BPMN models, a domain model and microflows, automating the data exchange that staff previously handled by eye.

The second project was a business-intelligence study: comparing two ways of calculating carbon emissions from a week of shipments, building an entity-relationship model and KPIs, and analysing the data in PostgreSQL, Tableau and RapidMiner.
